HISTORY.
Aircraft Specialists, Inc. has operated at Gwinnett County Airport (KLZU) in Lawrenceville, GA since 1997. We started as an FBO and flight department operating multiple business jet aircraft on a Part 135 certificate with an avionics and radio shop. In February of 1999, we expanded our company into an FAA Part 145 CRS maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility (MRO).
Today, we support business aviation customers in our local Metro-Atlanta area, nationwide, and around the world. We operate 110,000 sq. ft. of hangar on 14 acres of facilities and ramp space. We specialize in full service FBO, airframe and engine maintenance, private aircraft management, pilot services, aircraft sales & acquisitions, and many more business services. We are easily accessible 24/7 through our completely equipped 24-hour mobile service truck, so if you cannot get to us, we can come to you with same day service!

David Zorger
Founder | President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Zorger started his aviation career in 1979 as a mechanic and pilot. Mr. Zorger worked as a flight instructor, freight pilot and mechanic at Atlanta Air Service until his first corporate flying job in Savannah GA, where he flew and maintained a Cessna Conquest until the aircraft was sold.
Mr. Zorger then worked in an aircraft sheet metal shop repairing commuter aircraft until taking a ten year position as a pilot/mechanic at the Honeybaked Ham Company flight dept.
Mr. Zorger started Aircraft Specialists Inc. in 1999, and is currently president of Aircraft Specialists. Aircraft Specialists performs maintenance on Gulfstreams, Challengers, Learjets, Citations, Hawkers, Falcons, Westwinds and Astras, along with aircraft management and aircraft sales.
Mr. Zorger holds an A&P mechanic license, IA certificate, along with 11 jet aircraft type ratings with extensive international experience.
